Q: When I plug the webcamera extension into my pc I get message "no device recognised" (or similar)
If the camera does not appear on screen/is not recognised by the computer and your pc is more than 2 years old it may be a good idea to try plugging the usb cable into a different port on your pc, as the connections in these will loosen over time! If no success achieved with this then please email or phone Rachel /Keith for further support.
Q: I have a Mac laptop and cannot view the camera:
If you have a MAC, it may well be reluctant to work with an external camera - Apple has a default on its pcs to favour its inbuilt webcamera and not to permit external cameras to be used. However Macs which have Apple's own Photobooth software so try to contact the webcamera using this application. We also found some useful videos on you tube to help with this.
We received a tip from a customer who is using Macbook Pro mid-2012 edition with El Capitan - his pc was not having any of it until he plugged in the Camera BEFORE turning on the computer!

Webcamera microphone records only - sound will be audible on playing back recordings.
